Shameless Plug: We Are Really Good Ppl, Bowling Green OH, 9 p.m.

I was recently published in issue 1.1 of Heavy Feather Review, a tremendous e-literary magazine featuring the likes of Roxanne Gay, Seth Berg, J. Bradley, and a host of other folks whose work my own poems aren’t dignified enough to appear with. While I don’t have many readers here from Bowling Green who aren’t already going, if you have a healthy interest in literature, you’d do well to check HFR out on your Kindle (and, soon, your Nook) here: amazon.com.

As excited as I am to be in the magazine, I’m even more excited that I’ve been asked to read at HFR‘s release party, We Are Really Good Ppl, at Kamikaze’s Nightclub in Bowling Green, Ohio. Reading along with me are two fabulously talented women: Karen Craigo, who is the co-editor of the Mid-American Review and the author of the chapbook Stone for an Eye; and Alissa Nutting (alissanutting.com), the author of Unclean Jobs for Women and Girls. If pictures are taken, I’ll shamelessly post them as proof, but I am honored and very fortunate that Jason Teal and Nathan Floom asked me to read tonight. Musician Chris Bathgate will also be there, and if the snow is intense enough tonight and over the next few days that we must eat somebody trapped inside Kamikaze’s to survive, I’m choosing him.
